Help

The things people actually get stuck on, in roughly that order.

I cannot sign in

Use the reset link. Enter the address you registered with and we will email you a link that signs you in and lets you set a new password.

If no email arrives: check the spam folder first, then confirm you are using the address you registered with rather than a newer one. For your protection, the reset page gives the same answer whether or not an account exists — so a silent result does not mean the address is wrong, and it does not confirm it is right either. Reset links expire after an hour; request a fresh one rather than reusing an old email.

If you are certain about the address and nothing arrives, write to the contact address in the footer from that address.

Changing your email or password

Both live in account settings and both ask for your current password. A new email address is not applied until you click the link we send to the new address, and we always tell the old address that a change was requested — that notice is the warning that matters if somebody else is in your account, so do not ignore one you did not expect.

Building a CV

  • Start from Documents — new CV, or import an existing one.
  • Importing reads a PDF or DOCX and fills the sections in. Check the dates; parsers get those wrong more than anything else.
  • Sections can be reordered, renamed and hidden. Hiding keeps the content for later rather than deleting it.
  • Changing template or colour never changes your content. Switch freely.

Applying

  • On a listing, Apply attaches the CV and letter you pick.
  • Jobs posted here are applied to here, which is what lets the employer's own status updates flow back into your tracker.
  • Listings from elsewhere send you to the employer's site; add them to your tracker with the link so nothing is lost.
  • An employer sees what you attached. Nothing else about your account.

The tracker

  • Cards move between stages by dragging, or with the dropdown on each card if you would rather not drag.
  • A stage set by an employer is marked as verified; one you set yourself is not. Insights report the two separately.
  • Follow-up dates produce a reminder. The calendar feed works in any calendar app without connecting an account.

Employers

  • Your first two listings are read before they publish. After that they go live immediately.
  • Every listing needs a salary or a range.
  • Closing a listing keeps it; candidates who applied still have it in their tracker.
  • Team seats are how colleagues get access. Sharing one login is not supported and breaks the audit trail.

Exporting and printing

Export gives you DOCX, HTML and plain text. Direct PDF export is not available on this installation — the server has no PDF engine installed. Use the HTML export and your browser's Print → Save as PDF, which produces the same document; the templates are built for it and the page breaks are correct.

Every template here is ATS-safe: a single column, real text rather than an image, no text in headers or footers, and standard section headings. That is why they look plainer than a designer's CV — an applicant tracking system that cannot read a two-column layout scores it as empty.

The AI features

The AI features are switched off on this installation, so those buttons are hidden rather than broken. Everything else — the builder, all the templates, exports and the tracker — works exactly as described.

Who can see my information

Employers you apply to see the documents you sent them, and nothing else about your account — not your other applications, not who turned you down, not what you have saved or searched for.

You are not discoverable by employers unless you switch that on under being found, and it is off by default. That page shows you the exact anonymised card an employer would see before you decide. If you do switch it on, a result carries no name and no contact details, and an employer may send you one message.

The full picture is in the privacy notice, including exactly what deleting your account does and the short list of records we have to keep afterwards.

This job listing looks like a scam

Tell us and we will take it down. Report it to the contact address in the footer with the link.

In the meantime: no legitimate employer asks an applicant for money, for bank details before an offer, or for identity documents as part of applying. If a listing asks for any of those, do not send them.

Billing

Your plan, invoices and cancellation are in billing. Cancelling stops the renewal and keeps your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. A failed payment does not cut you off the same day — we hold the plan while the card is retried and tell you each time.

Still stuck

Write to the contact address in the footer. Tell us what you were doing and what happened instead — a screenshot and the page address save a round trip. If it is about a charge, include the date and the amount rather than the card number, which we neither need nor hold.
